Gregory A. Swart, MN, ARNP, NP-C

Greg has been providing high quality, family focused medical care to families in the Yakima Valley for over 18 years. Greg worked at Cornerstone Medical Clinic in Yakima for eight years before his heartfelt passion for people and desire to provide exemplary medical care motivated him to open his own practice. In 2009, Greg opened Yakima Avenue Medical Clinic, which later became Best Practices Medical Clinic. In 2012, Greg was awarded the Washington State NP Award for Excellence, given for his “demonstration of excellence in clinical practice.”

Greg began his nursing career at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital as a CNA in 1990. He attended YVC, graduating from their Nursing Program in 1994. Greg then attended WSU, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1997 and proceeded to graduate from WSU’s Master of Nursing Nurse Practitioner Program in 2001.

Greg was born and raised in Naches, WA. Greg, and his wife Janis, continue to own and operate Best Practices Medical Clinic and together they strive to give people, young and old alike, the kind of care that they deserve. They have three children that they adore and they reside on a small farm in Selah

Joseph A. DiMeo, DO
Board Certified in Family Practice

Dr. DiMeo, a native of New York, moved to Yakima in 2008 with his wife, 2 daughters, and 2 dogs. He graduated from Ithaca College in 1992 with a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry, then attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he obtained his degreee in 1997 after an additional fellowship year training in osteopathic medicine. Prior to moving to Yakima, he practiced osteopathic family medicine at the DiGiovanna family care center in Massapequa, NY for 8 years.

Dr. DiMeo has spent the last 15 years in Yakima treating patients in a rural family practice setting as well as educating the future of medicine and teaching osteopathic medical students at PNWU.

Dr DiMeo joined Best Practices in December 2020 and is dedicated to accepting and treating patients from all walks of life providing them with access of care in treating disease and applying preventative medicine. He also includes his training in osteopathic medicine in his ability to diagnose and treat patients individually and holistically to find wellness.

Jody Gray, ARNP
Board Certified in Family Medicine

Jody B. Gray is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse with 34 years’ experience in nursing.  She holds a Master’s degree in Nursing from Washington State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Washington State University. Before attending graduate school, Jody was a clinical instructor at Washington State University. She then worked in family practice in Grandview, Washington as a Nurse Practitioner for 10 years.  Jody’s area of specialty is primary care in a family practice.   She joined the medical team at Best Practices Healthcare Center of Selah in 2020.

Jody was raised in the Yakima Valley.  She is married to her husband Greg and has 1 daughter, Ashley.  Jody enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Kimberly Shipley, DNP, ARNP, NP-C
Board Certified in Family Practice

Kimberly is a nurse practitioner who came to work part time at Best Practices in 2019. Kim was born and raised in the Seattle area, moving to Selah over 30 years ago. She graduated from the YVCC nursing program in 1997 then worked at Memorial Hospital as an RN for 20 years. Kimberly earned her Bachelors degree in nursing from Washington State University College of Nursing in 2014, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Soon after, she returned to WSU and earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree in 2017. As a NursePpractitioner she started her career working at Yakima Worker Care, specializing in occupational medicine. She started working part time in family practice eventually making the decision to do family practice full time in August 2021.

Kim and her husband Gary live in Selah. They enjoy camping, traveling, and spending time making memories with their combined 5 kids and their 15 grandchildren. Kim has a passion for helping her patients achieve their optimal health. She feels it is important for patients to have an open communication as well as be listened to by their providers. She believes this happens while working together as a team to accomplish their best and healthiest versions of themselves.

Matthew Rosenberger, Physician’s Assistant
Board Certified in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine

Matt has lived in Yakima since achieving his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies from University of Texas Pan American in 2015. Prior to that, he graduated from the University of Washington’s Medex PA program. Matt has worked in Emergency Medicine most of his career. Most recently, he transitioned to Urgent Care Medicine.
